Some thoughts…..

I read a tweet this week from Cozomo, an anonymous collector and influencer who has embraced digital art. I had to think about the message for a while but I really agree with him. Digital art is finally a large step further in the art domain. Therefore, I am reposting his message in its entirety here again because a twitter message is only a quick read and I think it is important to have this message visible for a longer period of time->.

Few see it yet – but if you look closely, it’s undeniable:

Right now is the greatest risk-adjusted moment in history to acquire digital art.

And possibly the last window to do so before the market changes forever.

  • Better than 2021 – when all eyes were on it, but prices had soared.
  • Better than 2018 – when no one was watching, and would they ever be?
  • Better than 2023 – when most eyes had turned away. True believers remained, but new energy had disappeared.
  • Better than 2024 – when regulators tried to kill crypto altogether, and our art with it.

Now in 2025:

  • Almost all the top museums are on board.
  • New patrons arrive with war chests
  • Crypto king made it at the highest levels of world government
  • Art placed in museums’ permanent collections, creating ‘end-of-line’ and diminishing supply
  • Lending markets for Grail 1/1s and editions formed and developed
  • Foundations & DAOs formed to champion the movement and its artists
  • Consensus around top 1/1 artists allows ‘safer’ collectors access
  • Digital galleries and artist-in-residence programmes help those discovering and investing in the “next wave”.
  • Digital works on facemelt screens in MoMA lobby (twice now) bring new patrons on board
  • Entire museums built to house digital work, bringing in new eyeballs all the time
  • Pioneering artists getting their moment in shows like Coded, Digital Witness (LACMA), and Speak to the Eye (Vera Molnár retrospective @ Pompidou) – giving the whole genre deep institutional cred.

For centuries, art has been used as a means of preserving wealth.

For the past decade, crypto art has existed on the fringes, as a means of speculation.

From now on, crypto art moves from speculation to preservation.

Get it while you can.
