David Hockney

David Hockney (b. 1937, Bradford, United Kingdom) is a leading figure in contemporary art. Associated with the Pop Art movement in the 1960s, Hockney developed a distinctive visual language characterized by bright colors, flattened perspectives, and explorations of landscape, portraiture, and photography. In recent decades he has also embraced digital tools such as the iPad to create drawings and large-scale compositions.
